Following what is now a four year tradition, we are looking for current Resident Assistants to be presenters for our "conference style sessions" in January training! [Please note all FRAS participants will be rehearsing their proposed programs for FRAS by presenting during this conference style session during January training]
These presentations will work just like when the University of South Florida- St Petersburg came and joined us for Joint Training in August and we held "conference style sessions" ... you get to pick which sessions you attend!
How will it work? Interested RA's will submit proposals for training presentations. Based on the number of quality submissions we receive, January training will include multiple sessions where YOU can choose which presentation to attend!
Rules: All presentation submissions must cover appropriate content & enough material to fill 45-50 minutes. Two presenters is the maximum for any presentation. There will be a limit on how many participants can attend each session which will serve two purposes: 1. ensure the audience is the right size to cover the objectives/participate in activities (as applicable) 2. avoid popularity contests in presentations
What can I do to make my presentation strong? You can seek out any professional staff who would be glad to help you craft a strong presentation. We also want you to think intentionally about planning a presentation that will truly fill 45-50 minutes with quality material.
You will see that the examples below are all from a Fairy Tale theme. This year we will have a movie theme for training. Using the theme is not required, but can make your blurb more entertaining (see below)!
